From the farm to the heart of motherhood — this is how Motherflow began.
Motherhood didn’t come easily after my first child was born. There was joy, yes — but also bewilderment, exhaustion, loneliness, and guilt. Despite a healthy pregnancy and natural birth, my body ached, my mind was foggy, and my emotions were all over the place.
It took years to find my footing. And when I did, it was largely because I had support.
By the time my fourth child was still a baby, I knew I was done having babies — but not done working in the world of mothers. In 2019, I became a certified postpartum doula through DONA International and have supported women through this powerful transition ever since.
Then came the journal. When a client asked if I knew of a pregnancy journal that could truly support the inner experience of becoming a mother, I said, "If I can’t find a good one, I’ll make you one." I couldn't find one.
After four years of gestation—writing, testing, refining—the Motherflow Pregnancy Journal was born.
Alongside this work, my husband and I have run our family farm for over 18 years. Farming has taught me about rhythm, nourishment, and resilience. And motherhood? It taught me everything about growth, surrender, and love.
And I’m honored to walk with you.
